Advent United Methodist Church
Connect, Grow & Serve
Worship Sundays at 10am
At Advent UMC we celebrate human diversity and recognize the sacred worth and dignity of all persons. We affirm the full inclusion of persons regardless of race, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, physical or mental capacity, education, economic or marital status.
We believe that prejudice, hatred, or discrimination directed toward any individual or group is contrary to the life and spirit of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we shall work to eliminate prejudice and discriminatory practices within ourselves, our church, and our community
with God through prayer. If you have a Prayer Request or a pastoral care need, please email email@example.com. Your prayers will go directly to Pastor Cindy and remain confidential. We’ll collect and share prayer requests via email on Tuesdays.

for Armful of Love
Due to the pandemic and an effort to minimize person-to-person contact, the Armful of Love campaign will look different this year. Instead of providing wish lists and collecting presents, 360 Communities will be collecting gift cards in multiples of $25 to only these retailers (Target, Walmart, Visa, MasterCard or Amazon ONLY) and only these grocery stores (Aldi or Cub ONLY) and will need you to tape individual purchase receipts to each gift card. Armful of Love is planning to distribute $100 per child and $50 per adult. In an effort to get the cards disbursed for those families in need prior to the holiday shopping season, all gift card donations must be received no later than Sunday, Oct. 25. Please sign up here.
You can bring the gift cards to church, if you feel comfortable doing that. Otherwise, you can mail a check payable to Advent UMC or make an online donation designated as AOL, and Outreach will purchase the gift cards for you. Checks and online donations must be received at church no later than Sunday, Oct.25.
