Did You Know?
What is TreeHouse?
TreeHouse has been serving teens since 1984, helping them build relationships and resiliency rooted in living hope. We’re based in Minnesota, but we have sites across the country, one in Eagan. Each of our sites host programs that give teens a safe space to find support and belonging. Through mentorships, retreats, and other off-site activities, teens have the opportunity to build even deeper relationships with peers and caring adults.
The TreeHouse Plant Sale fundraising goal is $21,000 in sales for Eagan, Minnetonka, New Hope and Brooklyn Park. As of Thursday, March 13, we have sales of $2,600 – 12% of our goal!
Where does my money go?
50% goes to Green Earth Growers to pay for the plants.
50% funds Treehouse summer retreats, camps and outings for at risk teens in Eagan.
Why is this important?
Trapped in toxic home environments, these teens dread the coming of summer. TreeHouse uses the funds we raise to plan summer events for these teens – movie day, a trip to Valley Fair, or life changing trips to the BWCA, Chicago, the Black Hills. These trips give the teens something to look forward to, a little hope, and hopefully prevent them from running away from home where they become easy prey for gangs, drug dealing, and prostitution. Yes, this does happen in Eagan. These Eagan teens will be part of our future – for better or worse.
How To Help
Buy plants through the online sale now through April 7.
